I have been teaching and performing in the Rochester area for over 25 years and in 2025 I reached a 50-year milestone of this incredible relationship with the flute! My goal has always been to provide each student with individualized instruction on the techniques of flute playing in order to enhance the student’s enjoyment of participation in school and community music that will, hopefully, remain with them well into adulthood. Even more than flute technique, I also endeavor to help each student find the ability to express themselves through music—to share what makes each one special through the vehicle of the flute, and by doing so encourage their own uniqueness to come through in not only music-making, but in any endeavor they may pursue.
